Chicago Area Outlet Malls for Merry Christmas Bargains

Upscale and designer brands are sold at discounts at outlet shopping malls in the Chicago area. Christmas shopping is a joyful breeze with holiday savings.

The Christmas shopping season is now is full swing. Shoppers are busily hunting for treasures, the perfect gifts for their loved ones. The upscale outlet malls in the Chicago area offer great merchandise at substantial savings. The stores have special holiday offers for Xmas shoppers. It is a good idea to look at the mall websites before making a trip. Some websites have coupon savings that can be printed and taken along for additional holiday savings.

Gurnee Mills Mall in Gurnee, Illinois

Gurnee Mills is a large mall, with a sprawling floor plan. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Gurnee Mills is an indoor mall, so stores can be entered from the inside hallway. Many of the larger stores also have outside entrances. It is a good idea to look at a map of the mall layout before visiting. Park near the entrance of the stores you are most interested in shopping at.

There are over 200 stores at Gurnee Mills, including: Bass Pro Shops, Kohls, Burlington Coat Factory, Circuit City, Bed Bath and Beyond, Sears Grand, T. J. Maxx, The Sports Authority, Marshalls and JC Penneys.

The Gurnee Marcus Cinema features the newest movies, for family entertainment. There are two food courts, as well as restaurants in the mall. Restaurants include Rainforest Cafe, Ruby Tuesday and Starbucks. There are also a number of restaurants surrounding Gurnee Mills, such and Baker's Square, Lone Star Steakhouse and McDonalds. The mall is open until 10 pm most nights until December 22.

Santa Claus is spending a lot of time at the mall, and is available for photo opportunities. Gurnee Mills Outlet Mall is in Lake County, about 30 miles north of Chicago, at the Route 132 exit west of the I-94 tollway. The roller coaster of Six Flags Great America, which can be seen from the tollway, is the most visible Gurnee landmark.

Prime Outlets in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Upscale outdoor mall has been expanded, so if you haven't been there for a while, you may be pleasantly surprised. There are over 90 brand name outlet stores, including: COACH Factory, Restoration Hardware, Coldwater Creek, Old Navy, Adidas, Harry & David's, Eddie Bauer and Ghirardelli Chocolate.

The new indoor food court offers quick, convenient meals. The mall offers complimentary gift wrap through December 24, so Christmas gifts can be magically wrapped for you. The mall offers expanded holiday hours and is open until 10 pm most nights through December 22. Pleasant Prairie is located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, on Hwy 165 east of I-94.

Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora, Illinois

Outdoor mall with a charming ambiance features high quality outlet stores. Outlet features designer fashions, sportswear, fine leather, luggage, accessories, jewelry, housewares, home furnishings, gifts and specialty items. The food court serves quick meals. Red Star Tavern is a sit-down restaurant so shoppers can relax and rest their feet while enjoying a good meal. Chicago Premium Outlets is located 45 minutes west of downtown Chicago, off of I-88, exit at Aurora, Farnsworth Avenue North.

Prime Outlets has announced the addition of several brand name stores, including Eddie Bauer, Ann Taylor, Liz Claiborne and Banana Republic. There are over 40 brand names stores at this outlet mall. Holiday gift wrap services are provided until Christmas Eve. The food court restaurants serve quick meals. There is a large, comfortable seating area in the food court, providing a great meeting or resting spot for shoppers. The food court offers free Wi-Fi. The mall is open until 9 pm through December 23. Prime Outlet in Huntley is located abut 30 miles west of O'Hare Airport, just off the I-90 on Factory Shops Blvd.
