The city of Chicago is a very popular travel destination. Tourists often opt to stay in the downtown area where they can be close to many of Chicago's famous attractions such as the John Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, John Hancock Building and Navy Pier.
Several downtown Chicago hotels are following the trend of offering premier services on the hotel's highest floors. Although lodging on these floors can be a little more expensive, many of the benefits far outweigh the difference in cost.
The Sheraton Chicago
This hotel offers breathtaking views of the Chicago River and skyline. Some of the best views are available on the hotel's club level (located on the top floors of the hotel). In addition to picturesque views, guests on this level can enjoy access to a private lounge and health club, complimentary breakfast, cozy bath robes and an evening reception.
The Renaissance Chicago
A part of the Marriott chain, the Renaissance Chicago offers stylish lodging in the downtown area. Guests lodging at this facility have the option of a number of room choices and designs. This includes a variety of rooms on the top floor(s) of the facility recognized as the club level. Lodging on the club level one can enjoy a number of special features and amenities such as complimentary meals and beverages, access to a private lounge and 24 hour room service.
The HIlton Chicago
The Hilton is located on Chicago's well known Michigan Avenue near many downtown hot spots. Known as their executive level, guests lodging on the top floors of this facility can enjoy upgraded services and amenities. Some of these amenities include private check in, 24 hour housekeeping services, luxurious bath and body products, bath robes, complimentary breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres.
The Fairmont Chicago
Located on Chicago's loop, the Fairmont is within walking distance of the Navy Pier as well as many other downtown destinations. This luxurious hotel offers their customers additional pampering on their Gold floor. Lodging on the Gold floor affords guests a number of special amenities including private check-in and concierge services. Guests can also enjoy a number of other benefits such as larger rooms, access to the club lounge, complimentary breakfast and beverages, rainfall shower heads and more.
A number of other hotels in the downtown area also offer these preferred accommodations. Guests lodging on these floors will pay on average an additional 25-30 percent. Depending upon the package however, these fees can quite often be recovered via free food, beverages, etc.
