Chicago's Navy Pier will be rocking with celebrities and superstar DJs at a New Year's Eve Extravaganza. Go to Chicago's number one visited site to ring in the New Year.

Seven of Chicago’s most well known DJ’s will be rocking the city on New Year’s Eve at the grand extravaganza party at the Navy Pier in Chicago. Pump Boi Lee, JayFunk, and Maurice Halsted will be among the DJ superstars, keeping the city rocking in what is expected to be Chicago’s most enthusiastic celebration in years.

Obama-mania

Chicago, America’s third largest city, is suddenly a tourist gold mine. Of course there’s no guarantee that the Obamas will be bringing in the New Year at the Navy Pier, but one can always hope.

The Illinois Bureau of Tourism offers a three-day Getaway itinerary with a tour of the "President-elect Obama Trail," including 14 attractions along the way. See the state capital of Springfield, where Obama launched his presidential campaign, and his now-famous Hyde Park neighborhood. While there, head to Hyde Park’s 57th Street Books, known to be the Obama family’s favorite bookstore. You might even get an appointment at Coye's barber shop, where Barack Obama has gone for years.

The Party

The five-hour New Year’s Eve Extravaganza promises to be an unforgettable event this year with 3,500 guests and 300 VIPs. In the past, celebrities from Hollywood as well as local Chicago celebrities have attended this event, along with athletes and VIPs from the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, and the Indianapolis Colts. This year guarantees to surpass all others.

Dance to the top 40, hip hop, old school, rock, and electronica. There’s something for everyone. All attendees will receive a Premium Top-Shelf Liquor Package, 3-Course Hors d'Oeuvres, Midnight Firework Celebration, Confetti Countdown, Champagne Toast, Giveaways, Party Favors, Raffles, and Balloon Drop. The dress code is semi-formal.

The Day After

Don’t miss the annual New Year’s Day Chicago Polar Bear Club Swim. This annual event has hundreds of crazies congregating at the North Avenue Beach. Stripping out of their clothes to their swimsuits, no whining allowed, they dive into the frigid waters of Lake Michigan, or at least try to. Some go whimpering back to the half-drunk crowd who cheerfully accept them into their fold.

Getting Tickets

General Admission is $152 with open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and champagne toast.

VIP is $300 which includes reserved seating, two bottles of Korbel, VIP entrance, check-in, party favors and gifts.

VIP table for ten is $2,500 and includes a private balcony.

Put on a coat and scarf and head to the Navy Pier to bring in the New Year at Chicago's New Year's Eve Extravaganza and be prepared to be dazzled!

Watch out world, Chicago’s on fire!
