Thanksgiving Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Chicagoland Outlet Malls draw bargain hunters by opening in the wee hours.
Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is the most popular shopping day of the year. Chicago area outlet malls are getting a big jump this big Christmas shopping day by opening at midnight.
That's right, midnight! Ambitious shoppers should fill up on that Thanksgiving turkey and turn in early. Turkey is famous for making people sleepy, so it should not be hard to get a few zzzzs before getting up in the middle of the night to go holiday bargain hunting. Chicago area outlet malls will feature exciting special bargains to the hardy souls who venture out for a midnight Christmas holiday shopping adventure.
Brave shoppers may want to consider staying at a hotel near their chosen mall, to cut down on midnight driving.
Gurnee Mills Mall in Gurnee, Illinois. Gurnee Mills will be opening at midnight right after Thanksgiving. Black Friday mall hours are 12 am to 10 pm, for a long day of shopping. Gurnee Mills Outlet Mall is in Lake County, about 30 miles north of Chicago, at the Route 132 exit off the tollway.
Spring Hill Mall in Dundee, Illinois. Spring Hill will open their doors at 1 am on Friday morning for a gala shopping Rockin' Shopping event starting in the wee hours . Shoppers can get a jump on their Black Friday shopping. The festivities begin at 1 am with live entertainment, free hot chocolate, Diet Pepsi Max samples, giveaways, shopping coupons, raffles for Nintendo Wii and iPod Touch and other great surprises.
Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora, Illinois. Midnight Madness fun begins at midnight at this premium outlet about 30 miles west of O'Hare Airport. The bargains start at midnight on Friday.and continue all weekend.
Prime Outlets in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Pleasant Prairie is midway between Chicago and Milwaukee.This outlet mall has been expanded to 90 stores for more shopping bargains. The center boasts a new pavilion building with a food court. Midnight Madness will begin at Midnight after Thanksgiving on November 22. The center promises fabulous discounts, amazing giveaways and other surprises. The first 500 guests in line at midnight will receive a goody bag. There will be hourly drawings from Midnight to 9 am for Prime Outlets gift cards, COACH Factory Handbags and more. Participating stores offer Early Bird Discounts.
